3. About the Role
We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the reliability and quality of our products. This role will involve testing our mobile applications, smart boxing bag system, backend, and web-based platforms. The QA Engineer will be responsible for manual and automated testing, ensuring a seamless user experience across all platforms.
The ideal candidate is meticulous, autonomous, and proactive, capable of identifying issues before they reach our users. This role requires on-site testing at our clubs to validate the interaction between hardware and software. The QA Engineer should also have experience in test automation and continuously seek opportunities to automate repetitive testing tasks.
4. What You'll Do
- Perform manual and automated testing for mobile applications (iOS and Android), backend services, and web-based platforms.
- Test the smart boxing bag system, ensuring sensor accuracy, response time, and overall user experience.
- Visit Bhout clubs and facilities to conduct real-world testing of our integrated fitness-gaming experience.
- Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.
- Automate as many testing processes as possible to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Identify, document, and track bugs in JIRA, ensuring they are properly fixed before release.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and designers to ensure quality from the early stages of development.
- Validate OTA updates, ensuring seamless software upgrades for our products.
- Ensure performance, security, and usability standards are met.
- Continuously optimize testing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
5. What You'll Need
- 2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role.
- Experience testing mobile applications (iOS & Android) and web applications.
- Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks.
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
- Understanding of backend testing, including database validation and API response testing.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines to automate testing.
- Familiarity with test case management tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing priorities.
- Experience testing IoT devices or embedded systems.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools.
- Experience with security testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, or similar) for test automation.
